Why Give?

Giving is one of the central themes in the Bible. To understand what it means to be a Christ-follower, we must also understand what it means to be a giver of our time, our talents, and our resources. (See 2 Corinthians 8:1-7)

God designed His ministry on earth to be funded through the cheerful, eager, and pressure-free gifts of His people. When we willingly set aside the first part of our income for the local church, our hearts will be turned toward Him. (See Matthew 6:21)

Financial giving at Access can generally be divided into two categories: tithes and offerings. The Bible teaches us that we worship the Lord with our tithe, which is 10% of our income contributed to the church on a regular basis. When we feel called to give over and above our tithe, we do so as an offering.
